Overseas Chinese Student Association

36th Overseas Chinese Student Association

Overseas Chinese Students Association (OCSA), has been providing activities for overseas Chinese students since 1976. The purpose of establishing OCSA is to organize activities and events to aid in the development of friendships between overseas students from all over the world. Moreover, OCSA was created to cooperate with the government and TKU to help overseas students overcome problems and difficulties that they may face in Taiwan and make them feel at home. The diversity in countries have increased from Malaysia, Macau, Hong Kong, Maine, Thailand, United States etc. to 28 countries all over the world. This makes TKU’s OCSA more multicultural and international.

OCSA organizes annual activities such as Orientation Camp, Foreign Students' Sports Competition, Spring Break Trips, grand graduation dinner and many many more innovated activities, such as barbecue parties and foreign student’s National Heritage Fairs. The most spectacular event of our association is the Foreign Students' Cultures Exhibition Week, where we cooperates with other overseas students associations to show off local cultures from different countries around the world.

In the future, OCSA is going to strengthen its connection between overseas Chinese students and Taiwanese students by providing more opportunities to exchange cultural experiences. OCSA hopes to cooperate with inner and outer school associations to promote cultural exchange, internationalization of campus and enhance learning environment as a future goal.
