The influenza vaccination subsidy will be expanded to include overseas chinese and international students holding ARC starting January 1, 2025.

1. To maximize the effectiveness of the publicly funded influenza vaccine program, starting January 1, 2025, the target group for vaccination will be expanded to include all individuals nationwide aged six months and older who have not yet been vaccinated. This includes citizens of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and foreign nationals holding residence permits. Additionally, all eligible individuals (including students) vaccinated at contracted medical institutions will receive a subsidy of NT$100 per visit for vaccination administration fees.

2. Regarding foreign students who have obtained a residence permit but are waiting for the physical residence card, during the expanded vaccination period of the 2024 influenza vaccination program, they may use a temporary paper residence permit or the receipt of their residence permit application as proof of residency to receive the publicly funded influenza vaccine for 2024. However, for those without National Health Insurance (NHI) coverage, the vaccination administration fee must be borne by the institution, the individual, or absorbed by the vaccination provider.
