The National Immigration Agency has established the "New Immigrants Empowerment and Development Information Network," integrating information on welfare and rights related to new immigrants' living, employment, education, and healthcare from various government agencies. This platform provides content in seven languages: Chinese, English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Khmer, and Burmese. Additionally, a LINE official account (ID: @ifitw) has been set up to help various sectors and new immigrants and their families access diverse and important life information in real-time.
In response to the expansion of the New Immigrant Basic Law, its scope now includes not only marriage immigrants but also professional and technical immigrants. Overseas students who stay and work in Taiwan after obtaining a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and updating their residency status with the Immigration Agency are also classified as new immigrants under this law, becoming part of Taiwan’s social development force.
To further promote the New Immigrants Empowerment and Development Information Network and enhance awareness of Taiwan’s talent retention and recruitment policies as well as information for overseas students staying in Taiwan, the National Immigration Agency will host the "Accompany You to a New Life" event on:
